The artillery is capable of firing shells at a distance of up to 40 km, and when using modified shells, at a distance of up to 60 km.
Ukraine, in order to resist the enemy, uses a lot of Western technologies at the front, in particular modern artillery. Among these is the Archer self-propelled gun from Sweden, known for its mobility and accuracy.
Soldiers of the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared a photo of an Archer self-propelled howitzer that is hunting invaders in the Donetsk region. The Archer FH77 BW L52 is a 155mm self-propelled howitzer manufactured by BAE Systems Bofors.
The manufacturer notes that it is designed to match the mobility of infantry - the self-propelled gun needs less than 30 seconds from the moment operators receive a fire call to stop the vehicle, take an action position and fire the first shot. Less than 30 seconds after completing the task, Archer can move again. A Swedish-made self-propelled gun can fire 6 shells and move 500 meters in less than 2 minutes.
Archer can be produced in three forms: 6x6 Volvo (shown in the photo of the 45th artillery brigade), 8x8 Rmmv, 10x10 Oshkosh. It can fire conventional artillery ammunition, anti-armor ammunition and Excalibur precision guided ammunition. It was transferred to the Swedish army in 2016 in the 6x6 formula.
