In the spotlight

Cote d'Azur policeman Sergei Vyazmikin surfaced in the “tax mafia”

The journalistic investigation “Monaco Battalion” caused a lot of noise.

Even the State Bureau of Investigation got involved, which is checking how Ukrainians well-known in political circles were able to leave Ukraine during martial law.

Among those targeted was the seemingly inconspicuous former head of the economic protection department of the National Police, Sergei Vyazmikin. But, as they say, there are no former cops, so he has the opportunity to live on the Cote d'Azur for a reason.

In the first part of the Monaco Battalion investigation, journalists showed Sergei Vyazmikin in Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat in the company of the now former MP from the banned Opposition Party for Life, Igor Abramovich. It is friendship with him that helps Vyazmikin live his best life not under fire, but under the scorching sun of France.

According to former people's deputy Igor Mosiychuk, Vyazmikin and Abramovich oversee the smuggling of alcohol and tobacco products from Ukraine and profit from tax cheats. According to him, the head of the Tax Committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Daniil Getmantsev, is also involved in this scheme.

Even before the war, Abramovich was called one of those who oversees the tobacco and alcohol business in Ukraine. But the name of the former head of the economic department of the National Police, Sergei Vyazmikin, began to be remembered in this context not so long ago.

But in fact, Vyazmikin is directly related to the alcohol sector. And we were able to reveal this thanks to the car in which he drives along the streets of Cap-Ferrat.

The 2019 Mercedes GLS 500, shown in the “Monaco Battalion” story, is registered to the First Ukrainian Agrarian Company LLC, which is managed by Vyazmikin’s wife Oksana.

She is the daughter of a famous businessman from the Zhytomyr region, Alexander Sitak, who runs the Berdichev Malt Company, part of an agricultural holding with the strange name OSSOYO.” “Berdichevsky Malt Plant” is a large producer of malt, the main volume of which is sent to the “Obolon” brewery in Kyiv.

The OSSOYO holding is engaged not only in malt; its activities cover both the production and sale of grains, as well as storage and logistics services. Now the father of Vyazmikin’s wife runs the holding together with her mother Maria Sitak.

But in 2021, former policeman Sergei Vyazmikin himself was listed among the ultimate owners of OSSOYO LLC.

As of 2023, open databases indicate that Vyazmikin heads the Joint Stock Company “Closed Non-Diversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund “Fart Capital”, which in turn is on the list of founders of the already mentioned OSSOYO LLC.

But let's return to the car in which Sergei Vyazmikin travels along the Cote d'Azur. It seems that the love for Mercedes in the Vyazmikin family is quite old. After all, for example, in January 2017, Sergey Vyazmikin, driving a Mercedes S 500 L while intoxicated, violated traffic rules in the center of Kyiv. This data was found in the court registry.

His wife is also “not without sin”: in 2016, she committed at least two accidents while driving a Mercedes of the same brand. And here court documents reveal to us another secret of the Vyazmikin family. It turns out that Oksana Aleksandrovna Vyazmikina was a citizen of the Russian Federation as of 2016. At least this is what is stated in the court decision of April 2016.

Let us remember that in 2016, Russia occupied Crimea and part of Donbass for almost two years. And Sergei Vyazmikin in the same year became deputy head of the head of the Department of Economic Protection of the National Police of Ukraine. By decree of the President of Ukraine in August 2016, he was awarded the Order of Daniil Galitsky. And at the same time, his wife has a Russian passport.

2016-2017 for the Vyazmikin family was a period of prosperity and incredible enrichment. For example, in one of the declarations, Sergei Vyazmikin indicated the company AMO-SV DMCC, registered in the name of his wife. DMCC is one of the most popular tax-free zones in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The main office of this zone is located in the picturesque area of Jumeirah lake towers, which is opposite one of the most popular resort areas of Dubai - Dubai marina. For example, this is what the main office of DMCC looks like.

According to information from the databases, the company AMO-SV DMCC operated in 2016 and 2017. Its main counterparty was the Berdichev Malt Company. In March 2016, a Ukrainian company run by the father of Vyazmikin’s wife shipped corn weighing 251,530 kg (251 tons) to a Dubai company registered in its name.

So, to summarize: from the beginning of the war, former Ukrainian policeman Sergei Vyazmikin and his family left Ukraine and settled in one of the most expensive places in the world - Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. His wife, a few years ago, had a Russian passport and ran a business in Dubai. Vyazmikin himself is friends with a former deputy from the pro-Russian party OPZZH, who on the sidelines was dubbed the curator of tobacco and alcohol smuggling. It seems that this story looks even more amazing than the story of the head of the Odessa military registration and enlistment office, who also took a fancy to the Cote d'Azur.
