According to the investigation, the Odessa woman took documents from Ukrainian women, restricted their movement and persuaded them to cooperate.
In the Odessa region, law enforcement officers neutralized an international human trafficking channel. It was organized by a local resident.
This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
According to investigators, the Odessa resident was looking for women allegedly to work abroad.
“Next, upon arrival in Romania, the attacker took away documents from Ukrainian women, restricted their movement and persuaded them to cooperate. She also took away social assistance, which she forced the victims to apply for in another country,” the message states.
The attacker was detained by border guards and police. She was also informed of suspicion.
Let us remind you that law enforcement officers exposed a criminal group that for three years profited from a scheme for selling newborn children abroad. They estimated the cost of one baby at 50-70 thousand euros.
