What is the most valuable thing they can take away from Kolomoisky

On Friday, the assets of the twice-suspected oligarch Igor Kolomoisky were arrested. At least, NABU hastened to report this after the second suspicion was raised against him. As is known, while the leaders of NABU were meeting in Washington, their agency was ahead of the SBU and BEB, which managed to send Kolomoisky to a pre-trial detention center on suspicion of fraud.

A couple of days later, NABU detectives ran to Igor Valerievich, who was already resting in the SBU establishment on Askoldov Lane in Kyiv. And they accused him of embezzlement from PrivatBank.

After issuing a press release about the seizure of his assets for possible confiscation, but for some reason only for 48 hours. Which actually expire today. At the same time, the BEB and the SBU did not particularly report on the oligarch’s assets.

There are quite a lot of theories about this race. Starting from an attempt to hide Igor Valerievich from the harsh but fair American justice, which has been interested in him for many years, to almost fitting the oligarch with Khodorkovsky’s robe from 20 years ago.

Be that as it may, but, as experience shows, first of all we need to pay attention to another issue. What valuable things did Igor Valerievich have left? Feelings suggest that no matter how his numerous criminal cases end, the property will have to be handed over in any case.

Although, to be honest, Kolomoisky began to do this a long time ago.

First, he was disconnected from the state-owned Centrenergo, where the “Privat” management sat and steered the company in the right direction. People oriented towards the OP came there.

Then the diamonds of the Kolomoi Empire - Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta - were confiscated into the presidential vertical represented by the Ministry of Defense. The basis is war.

What is left for the once super-influential oligarch?

There are ferroalloy plants in Nikopol and Zaporozhye. A dubious business in the current military conditions, as well as taking into account the warm attitude towards these assets of Kolomoisky’s longtime friend Viktor Pinchuk. There are minority stakes in oblenergos. No less dubious business for the same reasons. A lot of real estate is interesting, but not a lifelong dream.

But there is something else that, at least in the old days, outweighed Ukrnafta and ferroalloys combined.

This is the 1+1 TV channel. With its licenses, super-powerful production base, promoted brand, network channels with an audience of millions and loyal personnel.

“Pros” is not just a piece of a telethon. This includes UNIAN, TSN, and much more. A super-powerful information mechanism, even in the current conditions.

Working like a clock from Kolomoisky’s beloved Switzerland, a factory for the production of new politicians and mochilov others.

Igor Valerievich was never characterized by the cold calculation of his colleague Rinat Leonidovich, who, having assessed the risks, left the media business and handed over the production base to the right place. And in general there are no special problems.

Rumors are actively circulating in Kyiv that it is the shares of the “pluses” that are the property that Kolomoisky will have to hand over, that with a one-way trip to the USA, that with the verdict of his native Ukrainian court, that with the return to Bukovel.

Especially if the desire to go to the polls during the war wins. At least Kolomoisky’s factory will not turn against its favorite creatures.

By the way, with the ownership structure of the “pluses” and relations with employees and partners, not everything is simple for Igor Valerievich. The last time he was very worried about the fate of the TV channel, trusted journalists were introduced into the ownership structure. Some of them later became people’s deputies from the “servants,” like Olga Vasilevskaya-Smaglyuk or Alexander Dubinsky.

Some of the happy minority shareholders remained working, but openly migrated to the sphere of influence of the OP, like the government’s favorite interviewer Natalya Moseychuk.

And let’s not forget about the actions of the former Minister of Culture in the government of “servants” Alexander Tkachenko, Kolomoisky’s long-term partners - Yuri Kiperman and the Surkis brothers. Not counting stubborn rumors about the ownership of a certain package by the family of the traitor of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk.

And somehow no one protects their senior partner in the media business. A little strange.

Recounting these thoughts, the wits add a fresh political joke about how Pope Carlo's favorite plane was confiscated.

However, it seems more appropriate here to recall the classic of French literature, who wrote everything back in the 17th century: “You yourself wanted it, Georges Dandin.”
