Gaming project Farcana, which offers Bitcoin rewards, received $10 million in investment

Esports shooter Farcana has raised $10 million in early-stage funding. Investments were received from companies such as Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Merit Circle and other venture funds. Farcana is being actively promoted as a game where participants can win Bitcoin prizes in tournaments.

Esports shooter Farcana raised $10 million in a seed round of funding. Investments came from companies such as Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, Fenbushi Capital, Merit Circle and others, according to CryptoRank .

Farcana is a team-based third-person shooter in the Battle Royal genre, developed on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. The project team plans to integrate blockchain elements into it, including NFTs and the native FAR token. The project will also use solutions from the Polygon ecosystem.

Farcana representatives promise that some players - the top 10% - will be able to receive bitcoins as a reward for winning tournaments.

The Farcana team is based in the MENA region (combines the countries of North Africa and the Middle East). The project is led by the former CEO of the esports organization G2 Esports, Carlos Rodriguez.

“Our strategic investment in Farcana is part of Animoca Brands' vision to grow Web3 in the MENA region. The region is rapidly modernizing and adopting new technologies, and we are pleased to support partners like Farcana as they actively develop the sector and bring exciting products to market,” said Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands.

Let's remember that we wrote that Animoca Brands predicted the rapid growth of GameFi in 2024.
