In the spotlight

I really want to make money in the war

The two-year mess with the Law on Mobilization, with the ban on consular services for those traveling abroad, with endless queues at the TCC and other nonsense - this is not due to inability, not due to stupidity, but for the only reason: everyone involved has been actively “packing” since the beginning of the war and to interrupt this they don't want the process.

I see no other explanation for the two-year disregard for the personnel problem of the troops and volunteers of the first recruitment. Everyone understood perfectly well that this could not last forever, that it was impossible to defend the Motherland without getting out of the trenches for the third year. The solution to the problem was also obvious. In our digital age, it is impossible to avoid mobilization en masse. A few months ago, Minister Fedorov surprised with a decisive statement: we will not send out summonses through Diya! I wanted to ask: who you are is not for you to decide. Fedorov is in executive power. Whatever they tell you, you must do. How to call for the defense of the Motherland, where to send subpoenas, how to influence deserters is up to parliament to decide in consultation with the Ministry of Defense...

Instead, TCCs practiced wild raids on pedestrians in cities and villages. According to sources in uniform, it is often completely illegal to include civilians in such patrols. These are our old friends - titushki, strong guys from gyms who want to earn extra money. How are they paid? Yes, from the bribes that captured citizens pay to the TCC. If you don’t want to fight, pay up: we’ll catch new ones. This is how it all happens for the third year in a row. And then suddenly you need to pass a law and do everything honestly... No, no.

Today, there are already concerns that many people liable for military service, after the two months allotted by law, may not of their own free will become “swindlers”: they simply will not have time to go through the proper procedures at the TCC due to their overload. This excitement is artificial. Nowadays everything except children can be done online. Why these wild queues, how many man-hours of the working population will go down the drain due to this organizational chaos? But every Ukrainian has a mobile phone, which means they are visible to the authorities. Almost everyone has a bank account and a plastic card in their wallet. There is data from employers and a lot of information “tails” from everyone in existence. Why hasn’t the Ministry of Digital Development been instructed to combine the necessary databases, develop a software algorithm for recruiting and call those who are needed to the TCC, and not the whole country en masse? I will answer you: because in this case it will become problematic to extract 5-10 thousand dollars from a deserter.

I think that in Moscow they give a standing ovation to the mobilization initiatives of our great powers. But Kremlin agents have nothing to do with it. No politics or spy mania - just dirty business in war.
