Of course, corruption in courts has devastating consequences for the entire judicial system and Ukraine as a whole.
The publication Bihus.Info previously conducted a journalistic investigation into judge Tatyana Ilyeva and her undeclared million-dollar fortune. As a rule, this state represents gratitude for the judges making the “correct” decisions.
It became known that on March 26, 2024, the scandalous judge of the Pechersky District Court of the city of Kiev, Tatyana Ilyeva, made an illegal decision in case No. 756/10151/21, by which she satisfied the demand of Suran LLC (USREOU code 38148391) to reclaim land plots. The plot is located near the Vydubitsky Monastery (Kiev, Zemlyansky Lane) and was acquired in 2018 at an electronic auction on the SETAM SE platform by a Kyiv entrepreneur. The buyer paid the required amount and registered ownership of the plot. But in 2021, the Pechersky District Court began to consider the above case, and, as a result, for unknown reasons, decided to take away the property from a bona fide buyer.
LLC "Suran" (plaintiff in the case) appears in criminal proceedings as a business entity that was part of the criminal organization of the fugitive oligarch Sergei Kurchenko, who is hiding in the aggressor country and is reasonably suspected of financing terrorism and armed aggression from which our country is now suffering. . This fact was established in the verdicts of the Kominternovsky District Court of Kharkov dated April 27, 2017 in case No. 641/2195/17, dated May 24, 2017 in case No. 641/2949/17, dated May 25, 2017 in case No. 64 dated April 5, 2021 in case No. 641/7138/19.
As well as the verdicts of the Podolsk District Court of Kiev dated 08/31/2018 in case No. 758/9093/17 and dated 01/09/2018 in case No. 758/15964/17. Also fresh, related to LLC “Suran”, the verdict of VAKS dated December 25, 2023 in case No. 991/1684/22.
Sentences were passed against various defendants under Art. 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, creation, management of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it, is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 12 years. Why is Judge Ilyeva so willing to play along with potential collaborators?
The media have repeatedly reported on corruption components in the judicial activities of the odious judge Tatyana Ilyeva.
Consequently, in 2020, Ilyeva made a decision by which she granted the petition to lift the seizure of €110.7 thousand and $9.3 thousand. This money belonged to the former vice-president of the State Enterprise "Bread of Ukraine" Andrey Mikhanov, suspected of money laundering.
And in December of the same 2020, Judge Ilyeva ordered Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova to take away criminal proceedings from NABU and SAP about offering a bribe of $6 million to the leadership of anti-corruption authorities for closing proceedings against the owner of Burisma Holdings, the former Minister of Ecology. NABU then reported that the said decision was made by the Pechersky District Court in violation of jurisdiction, without the participation of the SAPO prosecutor, the text of the said resolution was not received by the SAPO, and it is also not in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions
On March 30, 2023, NABU and SAPO informed Judge Ilyeva of suspicion of abuse of power and the inclusion of knowingly false information in the determination. Qualification: Part 2 Art. 364 is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 3 to 6 years, part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is punishable by restriction of freedom for up to 3 years. And in August 2023, SAPO sent an indictment against Ilyeva to the High Anti-Corruption Court for abuse of official duties.
In 2021, Judge Ilyeva refused to explain the origin of funds for the construction of an expensive estate on a land plot worth more than 2.5 million UAH in Khotyanovka (Kiev region) with an area of 264 sq.m and for the purchase of a premium car with a total cost of more than 1.5 million UAH .
In addition, at the height of the war in the country, Ilyeva purchased a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER SUV for 1.5 million UAH. in August 2022.
After Judge Ilyeva’s suspicion was announced, the High Council of Justice refused to remove him from the administration of justice, rudely despite all the factors for this. Only three members of the VRP out of 17 present voted in favor. It was only a matter of temporarily suspending the judge from work for the duration of the investigation.
On April 17, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court applied a preventive measure to Judge Ilyeva - 805 thousand hryvnia bail, although the NABU detective asked for 4 million. The selection of a preventive measure lasted in the High Anti-Corruption Court for more than two weeks with interruptions, which once again indicates the obvious inclination of other judges towards Ilyeva.
So, as we see, despite the declared suspicion and increased public attention to her personality, Tatyana Ilyeva continues the “best traditions” of the notorious Pechersky District Court of Kyiv. This time, making a decision in favor of Sergei Kurchenko. Who exactly encourages Judge Ilyeva to make decisions necessary for the interested party, carrying a trail of collaborators, and most importantly - in what equivalent...?
